The Pride Parade is a celebration that takes place annually around the world during the month of June.

The first pride celebrations were held in the United States in 1970, as a commemoration of the Stonewall Riots. In Chicago, New York and San Francisco, the march began with a political purpose and to make the LGBTQIA+ movement more visible, while in Los Angeles it was more of a celebration, giving rise to the colorful parades and parties we see today.

In 1972 these marches began to take place in Europe, and only in 1997 did they have their first version in Chile, known as the "March of the Umbrellas".
