This is an alternative to the classic and often-repeated signature book that has been used in weddings for years. However, this proposal is much more entertaining, modern, practical, fun and original, as well as being very economical, easy to prepare and a respite for those who never know what to write.

The idea is to prepare a white sheet, with a tree drawn on a large scale in the center with its empty branches. On them, then, the guests will write their fingerprints one by one as if they were leaves, and inside them, they will write their names to immortalize the record.

To set up this proposal, you will need to choose a specific corner and have three key elements: ink to mark the footprint, paper or wipes for them to wipe their fingertips and a fine-tipped pen for them to write their names.

Whether you decide to place it at the entrance of the banquet or inside a hall, always make sure it is a visible place for everyone to pass by without any excuse.

Also, considering that this is a relatively new trend in Chilean weddings, you can write the instructions on a whiteboard in case any questions arise on the spot.

And with regard to the ink, you can opt for a single color to print the fingerprint, or offer different options so that everyone can choose the one they like the most. Three or four different inks will be enough. If possible, try to make them strong and striking colors to contrast with the white background.

Finally, don't forget that the canvas should include the name or initials of the bride and groom and/or the date of the wedding. And if you want, you can add some other detail, such as a phrase of gratitude or love.

A romantic and simple idea, for example, is to illustrate a heart on the trunk of the tree, inside which you can use to inscribe the initials.

Even though the footprint tree is the original idea, you can also go for other designs made with this same technique, for example, footprints representing the petals of a flower, a bunch of balloons tied to a bicycle, the sparks of a firework, the colorful feathers of a peacock or the chips of a large muffin among other creative designs.

In the case of the latter, you can accompany the canvas with a phrase like "love is sweet".

Whichever option you choose, no doubt this renewed signature book will be a unique and indelible memory.

You can also do it yourself if you dare, drawing the figure with acrylic paint or watercolour on paper or cotton fabric.
