If you decided on a country wedding decoration to take advantage of the views of the place where you will say "I do"; and even the bride will wear a flower crown to accompany her bridal styling; then surely the style of your celebration will have a very boho and natural atmosphere, which will be reflected in different aspects of the wedding decoration, from the decorations offrom wedding receptions to centerpieces, banqueting and lighting.

But if you also want to include handmade details to your celebration, then a wildflower heart is the perfect accessory. You can use them for the ceremony pews, the photocall area or for the back of your bridal chairs. It's up to you! Want to learn how, follow the instructions below.

Materials

  • A small bouquet of flowers (wildflowers of personal taste)
  • Thin base wire
  • Wire covered in green thread
  • Green satin ribbon
  • Purple silk ribbon
  • Pruning shears or multipurpose shears

1. Arm the heart

Take the two ends of the wire and divide it in half. With the help of a pencil form a heart. The wires go around and across right in the middle.

2. Wrap it up

Once you have your heart armed, must add color to the base To do this, use the green satin ribbon to wrap the heart wire at an angle, twisting the ribbon around the wire so that it is stable. Before covering the entire base, twist it tightly four times to prevent it from coming loose.

3. Fill it with flowers

Make sure the flowers are durable so that the heart will last longer. Now, with great care and the help of a pair of scissors, cut the flowers into small branches, being careful not to damage them. With the threaded wire fix each branch, giving it two turns. Tie each branch halfway, as the idea is to leave one end of the branch free so that it will look better. Repeat the procedure branch by branch without leaving spaces uncovered by the flowers.

4. Add details

You have already made your DIY flower heart, now you must add the last detail: cut 50 centimeters of silk ribbon and then cut it out. fasten it at the base of the heart and make a bow If you wish, you can use more than one ribbon and color.

Crafting is very therapeutic, especially if you do it as a couple. If you already have your wedding dress, suit and main accessories ready, give yourself time to do things that you enjoy and relax. Just going out to pick wild flowers will be an experience not to be missed! You can even use some of the flowers for the bridal hairstyle or bouquet. Are you up for it?
