    1. New York

    NYC has a deep history with the LGBTQIA+ community and is a must-see for all queer travelers. A must-see stop is the West Village neighborhood, where the Stonewall protest took place during the summer of 1969 (kicking off the modern gay rights movement) after police raided the Stonewall Inn and arrested patrons and staff.

    The best-known LGBTIQ+ neighborhood in New York City is Hell's Kitchen, with streets full of LGBTQIA+ restaurants, barbershops, cafes and bars. You will see rainbow flags on every corner and you will be able to attend drag shows at Industry, Therapy or Laurie Beechman bars, recommended by Miz Cracker as the best in town.

    Pride is held in the middle of the summer, between June 15 and 26, and is one of the largest parades in the world.

    2. Barcelona

    Beaches, tapas, parties and art What could be better than this combination? Barcelona received the award Gay Travel Awards 2021 This is not the first time that the Catalan capital has been highlighted as the capital of gay tourism globally.

    Barcelona's L'Eixample district is one of the largest LGBTQIA+ districts in Europe and has even been nicknamed "Gayxample". Here you will find bookshops, cafes, bars, restaurants and much more.

    Must-see places in the city? Spend the day at Platja de la Mar Bella which is the main gay beach of the city and at night go to Sala Arena Classic, one of the most popular LGBTQIA+ clubs.

    3. Amsterdam

    The Netherlands was the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage in 2001 and has remained the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. one of the most inclusive countries on the planet thanks to its numerous anti-discrimination laws and policies.

    Amsterdam, as the capital of the Netherlands, is one of the top queer destinations in the world. It is a very progressive city and you can find LGBTQIA+ venues everywhere, but if you had to choose just one place it would be the Reguliersdwarsstraat district, located in the city centre. A bit further north you will find Cafe 't Mandje an inflatable of the queer scene of the city. It wasOpened in 1927 by Bet van Beeran, a well-known lesbian who created this place of encounter and acceptance, patrons continue to enjoy the eclectic interior and friendly crowd today.

    If you want to party and party, the best time to visit the city is in early August when they celebrate Pride week, and the whole city, including the canals, are filled with colour, music and partying.

    4. Tel Aviv

    This city is a unique case. Same-sex marriage is not legal in Israel, but Tel Aviv has become one of the most LGBTQIA+ friendly and progressive cities globally. It's as if it's a completely disconnected gay oasis, functioning differently from its surroundings. In fact, the newspaper Boston Globe named it in 2016 as the gayest city in the world with an estimated 25% of its population identifying with some diversity.

    Tel Aviv does not have a specific "gay neighborhood", but is very friendly in general. But if you want to visit somewhere specific, we recommend Hilton Beach. Known for its rainbow sunshades, while it's not officially a gay beach, it's so well known for it that even the Tel Aviv tourism website names it as a hotspot for the LGBTQIA+ community. If you want to party, you have to make a stop at Shpagat, a club famous for beingvisited by people from across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, as well as allies, and a great mix of locals and tourists.

    5. Patagonia

    You don't need to cross the whole world to have a romantic getaway and take advantage of enjoy your honeymoon with incredible landscapes Patagonia stretches from Chile to Argentina, with a great variety of landscapes, such as mountains, deserts, steppes and sea. According to Gay Travel and the bloggers of Nomadic Boys Patagonia is a perfect place for a honeymoon or gay friendly trip.

    Doing the Torres del Paine W circuit is one of the favorite things to do for those who visit this national park, but perhaps they are not thinking of sleeping in a tent during their honeymoon. If that is the case, there are much more comfortable alternatives, such as glampings that offer all-inclusive packages, with meals, drinks and tours. Private (and biodegradable!) bathrooms, king beds, Chilean wine, andCentral heating - what more could you ask for?

    6. French Polynesia

    Want to spend your honeymoon carefree on paradisiacal beaches? French Polynesia is the perfect place, unlike the Maldives, where homosexuality is still criminalized, French Polynesia is inclusive with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. If you want a movie honeymoon, we recommend Moorea during the months of July to October, when you can swim with the humpback whales that migrate there to give birth.

    You can stay in the beautiful overwater bungalows that you've probably seen on Pinterest, Instagram or an episode of the Kardashians. You can do sporting activities like snorkeling, volcano hiking, boat or four-wheeler tours. But if you don't feel like doing anything but relaxing, this is the perfect place!
